God Does Not Reward Giving – King Babaolowo’s Version (KGV)

I sometimes read the Bible just for the beauty of it (Not because I go to church). It is one of the many books that inspires and teaches me about the right path through life (especially from Matthew up), and I read it devoid of the religious clout around it. It is a history book, not some sacred text because the life and time of Jesus was was recorded in it. It is the Christ experience that is sacred, not the book in itself.

There is this confusion, lies and deceit about giving and this part is usually used to back it but so I’m dropping my own version of it. Call me King Babaolowo and you can call this King Babaolowo Version (KBV)

2Cor9:7-15

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, (not what you have been levied or conned to define as tithe) not reluctantly or under compulsion (it’s no crime or compulsory that you give) for God loves a cheerful giver ( and God is not the receiver, He doesn’t need your money, the poor and homeless do, and the pastor is not His financial representative).

And God is able to bless you abundantly, (not because you have given) so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work (and be able to give more because you are a giver by default). As it is written:
“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”

Now he who supplies seed to the sower (not to the eater) and bread for food (food is supplied separately) will also supply and increase your store of seed (you must have a store and seeds in it to experience increase, God doesn’t increase emptiness) and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, (not so that you can give a pastor nor because you have given, but so that you can give to the needy) and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people (the Lord’s people here is not a church, it’s the poor and the needy, the widow and the orphans) but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, (that gospel is love) and for your generosity in sharing with them (not sowing a seed in a building called church or paying some lame tithe but sharing with those who are in need) and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, (not the prayer of a pastor or wooli) because of the surpassing grace God has given you.

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”

There’s no part of the Bible so far from my studies that says God bless you for giving, it is clearly defined in every part where I’ve read that God loves you for being a giver and blesses you because He knows you have the capacity to give so when He gives you more, it is because He trusts you to give even more.

Stop the stupidity of trying to arm-twist God into giving you because you gave a pastor or you dashed someone money or other gifts. There’s no reward beyond love for cheerful giving, not to now imagine preconditioned generosity. God is not 1960 bet or Baba Ijebu, if your reason for giving is to receive, you are On Your Own (OYO) so learn the truth from the source and not from rent seeking lazy scammer wearing a suit, calling himself Pastor or Prophet.

God loves givers and he rewards the capacity to give with more to give.

Read the Bible if you can or some other books that will give you insight.

  • Quite interesting…. But even after the depth of this speech, some people are and forever be blinded by the dark illuminations of their pastors.
What we learn from the Bible shows are loyalty to God.
God never lived or does he live in a church
