I’m sure a lot of people know this young superwoman already (more people than I do)…but I choose to join the rest of the plenty people to celebrate her today whether you know her or not… She’s one hell of a woman, young and getting it #YAGI
Elsie Godwin is a blogger, Writer, Fighter and finally a final year student of Lagos State University. She’s a young Nigerian Entrepreneur (very young when you consider the fact that I’m very older and I’m just 21) and as young as she is, she’s carved a niche as a prolific Lifestyle and Relationship online and on-air personality in the already flooded Nigerian airspace.
Elsie started the journey to get voice out there in October 2013 (according to me) when she wrote a “blogpost” on virginity in an attempt to find out how many men are virgins (she found alot of us), but the post was actually tagged “The Virgin Question” and she got my son Kaypi Treasure to confessing to taking people’s flower twice. That was how we became friend somehow, yes from that single blogpost. Her strong opinion on relationship and lifestyle in general, and the response to that particular post led her to becoming a full blogger hence the www.elsieisy.com platform. That soon got her the attention of many from her strong and insightful posts on relationship and self-esteem amongst young people.
Today she reaches over 30k people daily online, her fame online has led to her founding the “hangout with Elsieisy platform”; a platform that gives room for her online family to meet her physically to share and discus their life experiences. This has created a connect amongst so many of her readers, built new opportunities for network and businesses within Elsians as she so fondly calls them.
She is currently the host of an online radio show on Happenings Radio called “Crux of the Matter” this is just to add to the responds and answers to the questions of many online.
She is also currently shooting a show on AQC AFRICA as the host of “Making the Stories”; a campus TV show design to introduce admission and requirements, guide students/ applicants through school activities and lifestyle around Africa.
Elsie is a God fearing woman (that’s my assumption), a passionate and visionary personality with great leadership qualities (that’s my opinion). She supports and believes in the agenda for a new and better Nigeria and she’s doing things to make it a reality in her own tiny way. She believes in freedom of expression and the need for less hypocrisy and more bluntness in the society (especially when it comes to talking about sex and relationships).
